The first destination of the trip is the HQ of Verilin, the luxury linen manufacturers based in Kortrijk. Surrounded by bobbins and authentic machinery, we see their high-end products come to life. We also get to know the impressive collection of CC Tapis, the Italian company that produces contemporary hand-knotted rugs, together with international designers such as Patricia Urquiola.

The next stop takes us just across the French border to Croix, for a visit of Villa Cavrois. This modernist masterpiece from the 30ties by architect Robert Mallet-Stevens is a must-see with regards to architecture, interior and use of materials.

After the lunch, trend watcher Hilde Francq of Francq Colors will give us a concise overview with of the colors and materials that will set the trend in 2019. In Evergem, near Ghent, we’ll be welcomed by the internationally renowned designers Muller Van Severen for a personal encounter at their home and studio.

Next stop in Graanmarkt 13 in the heart of Antwerp. Vincent Van Duysen designed the interior of this forerunner in the field of ‘seasonless’ retail, combined with a restaurant. We will get the full story by an aperitif and canapés by chef Seppe Nobels.

At the last destination - restaurant Veranda in Antwerp - we will enjoy a five-course menu by chef Davy Schellemans. Mentioned by Gault & Millau as one of the best Belgian gastro-bistros, in an interior designed by rising talent Going East.
